Five years ago…and two years after my wife and I moved to Costa Rica (settling in the mountains of the Central Valley) we received a telephone call from two good friends of ours who live in Sarchi. They had just “heard” about a property which was for sale near “the most beautiful beach in Costa Rica”…and “did we want to see it?”
All during the drive they told us that their father had purchased the property near this where they had visited all their lives. He , of course, had picked it up for the proverbial “song” but they have continued to visit the property into the third generation of the family.
We asked Patricia “do many Americans live nearby?”,”none,” she said.
“describe it for us” we asked. And she went on and on for the entire drive there. She described the beauty of the land, the beaches, and trees and most of all …the wildlife.” She told us about the howler monkeys, the shy white faced monkeys, the scarlet macaws and the many birds which visited her family’s property daily.
We loved the property from the moment we saw it because for Rhonda and I , it represented Costa Rica as it was 50 years ago, without the problems that sometimes tourism brings, fresh and unspoiled. We purchased the property and now are preparing to share it with others.
We hope that you will love Playa Azul and our “hidden village” as much as we do. it is truly the “real Costa Rica.” And from the stand point of “Pueblo Escondido” being an investment: the land and the homes are priced at far less than the competition. Rhonda and I are not developers per se, we did not buy this land to make a huge profit…”hard to believe”…maybe, but come down and ask questions, lots of questions..
The new highway has already started to be reflected in prices rising.
These homes and the area are little known…they do not include high rises and condominiums..they are one of a kind.
There are three developments within five miles of the property which are arguably “the best that Costa Rica has to offer”…most in terms of prices, which begin at $400,000 .
Construction is solid and well done…we do not believe in poor construction materials and slipshod labor…if you examine much of the competition you will find plasterboard and foam which will literally rot away within a few years…our homes are block, steel and concrete with hardwood throughout.
Security…and peace of mind…each property comes with a Costa Rican corporation for ease of transfer, asset protection, AND each purchase comes totally protected with title insurance.”
